To quote one of our all time favorite F-R-I-E-N-D-S, Rachel Greene “five hours from now, shoop shoop shoop”. If you’re like us, you’re a sunbathing goddess (or god) but don’t mind the cold for one particular reason. Hot Cocoa. But in all seriousness, skiing has to be one of our favorite winter activity here at Hampton Sun and we cannot wait to hit the slopes for a full day of fresh powder. One of the great things we love about when we visit Aspen is there is so much to offer beyond the slopes.
Now if you like to just being surrounded by the beautiful landscape but don’t much enjoy the adrenaline of the black diamond course, there’s always the option of taking a snowshoe tour. Most are for around 2 hours on moderate terrain, whether you will learn about the ecology of the mountain and how plants and animals adapt to survive in such climates. Since you will be outside for an extended period of time warm coats, winter boots, water and of course- sunscreen is suggested to be prepared for your adventure. We suggest the Super Hydrating SPF 15 Face Cream. Its oil free formula goes on smooth and its weightless texture leaves skin feeling light and soft.
If venturing outside in the cold still isn't for you, but you happen to find yourself in Aspen in the colder months, don't worry there is still plenty for you to do! As we've mentioned before in previous posts the local restaurant scene has amazing offerings from Japanese (Matsuhisa) to fine dining where you can arrive by horse drawn sleigh (Pine Creek Cookhouse). There are also great shops to check out while in town and we're excited to announce our new partnership with Gorsuch. So now, there is no worry if you forgot or ran out of your SPF or lip protection while in Aspen, just visit one of the new locations where our sun care is sold.
See you on the slopes!
